ABOUT MEHi, I'm Melissa. I'm in marketing.I didn't start out that way. I went to school planning to become an animator. But after getting my degree in computer animation, I found myself drawn back to my graphic design roots, excited by the possibility of combining classic design knowledge with the new multimedia sensibilities I picked up in my animation studies.
From there, I spent time designing for agencies and clients across diverse industries, eventually art directing and leading teams to execute complex marketing projects. This experience sparked a fascination in me—I wanted to learn more about what appeals to people, what makes them tick, what motivates their decisions. I dedicated myself to understanding the fundamental and inseparable aspects of human connection and consumer behavior, and dove deep into the strategies that make marketing initiatives successful for both the customer and the business. Today, I am the Director of Marketing for one of the largest manufacturers, distributors and retailers of specialty automotive and racing products in the world. I am driven and inspired every day by outstanding peers in the e-commerce retail world, and I'm dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our customers. When I'm not in front of a computer, I am on the back of a horse (I have two—Levi and Tess). I'm also an illustrator, a photographer, and an enthusiastic zombie movie fan. Want to hire me?
